a dedicated space to browse our library, exhibit art, or start a group
Our home in the heart of Basel
Centrepoint is unique among English-speaking social groups in Basel in having our very own premises in the heart of the city. This dedicated space gives members the freedom to attend social events and activities or start their own activity groups without relying on external venues.
Having a central, welcoming location makes it easier to bring ideas to life, connect with other members, and enjoy a true sense of community. It’s a space that belongs to you and your fellow members — a hub for learning, socialising, and shared experiences.
ArtWall exhibitions
Members who are artists can display their work on Centrepoint’s ArtWall and enjoy seeing the creations of fellow members. It’s a wonderful way to share your creativity, be inspired by others, and celebrate the artistic talents within our community.
Members interested in exhibiting should contact artwall@centrepoint.ch
Library
The Centrepoint Library is open to members whenever Centrepoint is open. Our collection includes fiction, biographies, travel memoirs, baby and toddler books, and books about Basel and Switzerland (in English and German). We also have resources to help you learn foreign languages. Members can borrow books free of charge and are welcome to donate books published within the last five years. Come and browse, borrow, and enjoy!
Form your own activity group
As a Centrepoint member, you have the opportunity to start your own activity group and connect with other members who share your interests. With access to a community of over several hundred members, it’s easy to reach out, find like-minded people, and organise activities — whether it’s a hobby, sport, language practice, or cultural outing.
We provide support and guidance to help you set up your group and find members who are interested, just email activities@centrepoint.ch. Turn your passion into a regular group and enjoy shared experiences with fellow members.
