Expats in Basel can benefit from BaselConnect as they are a nonprofit association dedicated to promoting increased cultural understanding and exchange between Basel expats and locals in the tri-national region in Switzerland.
Basel Life is an online English-language event calendar and guide to living in Basel. With events, museum exhibits, fairs, markets, sports, excursion ideas, culture, history and practical tips for living in Basel and Switzerland, you can find what you are looking for at Basel Life. The easy-to-use calendar lists events for all age groups and interests that you can share or download to your electronic calendar with a simple click. Completely free and anonymous to use.
Fresh Air Kids Switzerland is on a BIG mission to start an outdoor revolution that connects as many families as possible to the natural world. By breaking down the barriers of spending quality time outside, we hope to inspire, motivate and encourage more outdoor adventure in the lives of families across the globe.

BASEL CHAMBER VOICES
A small choir of mostly amateur musicians (SATB) devoted to unaccompanied singing. We practise weekly and put on concerts in January and June.
BASEL ENGLISH PANTOMIME GROUP
Produces the Basel Panto at the Scala each year.
GILBERT & SULLIVAN SOCIETY
Enjoy Gilbert and Sullivan and socialise with likeminded people in the Basel region.
SEMI-CIRCLE
Basel’s English-speaking amateur theatre with two productions a year as well as play-readings at Centrepoint.
Parenting community
BASEL CHILDREN’S TRUST
The BCT is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation that provides help, support, and information to expectant parents and families with young children living in the Basel area: from “bump” to “babe” and “beyond”.

Girl Scouting is a fun activity for English-speaking girls between 5 and 18.

Religious services in English
We are an English-speaking international Church. All are warmly invited to join us, regardless of nationality and whatever church background (or none) that you come from.
THE BAHAI LOCAL SPIRITUAL ASSEMBLY OF BASEL
World’s newest religion offers the latest spiritual software, balancing our material world.
Sunday morning worship service, weekly bible studies and prayer groups. There are also Sunday School programmes dedicated to different age groups, as well crèche facilities for children under 3 years old.

Contemporary music, youth ministry, Sunday School and Crèche.
Service translated into English (please request headphones). Band plays modern music. Meal for a reasonable price is offered at the Rundum Caffé downstairs before the service.

AMERICAN WOMEN’S CLUB OF BASEL (AWC)
The American Women’s Club of Basel is a nonprofit social and philanthropic organisation with over 100 members. It is a group with very diverse backgrounds, interests, and ages. Membership is open to English-speaking women of all nationalities.

BASEL HOUSEMEN VEREIN (ENGLISH-SPEAKING)
We are an English-speaking association of housemen, men who stay at home to look after the children and the house while the wife is out hunting and gathering.

One of the two public Toastmasters clubs in Basel city that holds meetings exclusively in English. Guests are welcome.
We provide a focal point for Irish people, their families and friends, and those interested in all things Irish in the Basel region.

PWG Basel is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation of international English-speaking women from all around the world who live in the Basel area. It offers women of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds a platform to exchange information and share experiences while building friendships.

Our more than 300 members play in all age groups from U8 to senior in summer at Rankhof directly on the Rhine and in winter in various indoor venues in Basel.
